About this tool
The generator creates perfect mazes, with a single path from start to finish, on four kinds of grid: square, hexagonal, triangular and circular. Each difficulty level uses a different algorithm: Prim for fairly direct paths, Kruskal, Wilson for perfect randomness, and depth-first search for very long corridors. Size ranges from 4 to 80 cells across.
The style can be classic, hand-drawn, with a drop shadow or in 3D relief, and the wall colour is up to you. Every maze has a number and the copied link recreates it exactly. The vector PDF can hold up to 50 different mazes, with a title, a “Name” line for children and the solution pages at the end, handy for teachers, youth workers and activity books.
