How many days are there between two dates? This free date calculator instantly shows the difference in days and weeks between a start date and an end date. Use it to count the days until a deadline, work out the length of a contract or a trip, see how long ago an order was placed, or check how many weeks a project lasts.
Pick both dates from the calendar and click Calculate. The result gives the number of calendar days and the equivalent in weeks, with up to two decimals. The end date is not counted, so Monday to Tuesday is one day. If the end date is before the start date, the difference is still shown, together with a warning.

Frequently asked questions
Is the end date included in the count?
No. Monday to Tuesday counts as 1 day. If you want to include both dates, simply add 1 to the result.
Does it count business days only?
No, it counts calendar days, including weekends and public holidays. The number of weeks is the number of days divided by 7.
Are the dates I enter sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and no dates are sent to a server.
