About this tool
This free image converter turns your files into WebP, JPG, PNG or AVIF right in your browser. It accepts any format your browser can read, such as JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG or AVIF. Use it to convert PNG to JPG, switch photos to WebP to make a website lighter, or bring a batch of images to the same format before sending them.
You can drop several images at once, up to 100 per batch added, set the quality and cap the longest side (from 512 to 3840 px). A table compares the file size before and after conversion as a percentage. Download each file on its own or all of them in a ZIP. For JPG, which has no transparency, you choose the background color.

How to use it

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion happens in your browser: your images are never uploaded or stored, and the ZIP is built on your device.
Is the image converter free?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up, and converted images carry no watermark.
Why is the AVIF option grayed out?
The tool uses your browser's own encoder. If the browser cannot produce a format, it is marked as not supported; try another browser or choose WebP.
Can I convert an iPhone HEIC photo?
Only if your browser can read HEIC, which is generally the case for Safari. Otherwise a message says the format cannot be read. For animated GIFs, only the first frame is converted.
