Random name wheel
Spin a wheel to pick a random name, winner or idea: weighted entries, elimination mode, several winners at once, team maker, themes and share link.
Tip: click the wheel or press Ctrl + Enter to spin.
To give an entry more chances, add *2, *3… at the end of the line (e.g. “Mary *2”). Lines starting with # are ignored.
No spins yet.
The wheel’s entries are split at random, as evenly as possible.

About this tool
The random name wheel picks a name, a winner, a task or an idea from your list at random. Paste your entries, one per line, and spin: the wheel slows down, its pointer clicks, and it stops on the winner with confetti and a fanfare.
It goes further than a basic wheel: you can give some entries more chances, pick several winners in one go, eliminate each winner down to the last, make balanced teams, keep a history of every spin and share the wheel with a simple link. The draw uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator, so it is fair and nobody can predict it.
- Fair draw, cryptographic randomness
- Weighted entries (*2, *3…) and chances in %
- Elimination mode and several winners per spin
- Balanced team generator
- 9 colour themes, sound, confetti, full screen
- History, CSV export, share link and PNG image
How to use it
- Type or paste your entries, one per line, or pick a ready-made list.
- Adjust the title, colours, duration and number of winners if you like.
- Click “Spin the wheel” or the wheel itself.
- Remove the winner or spin again, and find every result under “Results”.
Frequently asked questions
Is the draw really random?
Yes. The winner is chosen with your browser’s cryptographic random generator before the wheel even turns; the animation then stops exactly on it. Every entry has the same chance unless you give it a weight.
How do I give an entry more chances?
Add “*2”, “*3”… at the end of the line, for example “Mary *3”: Mary then has three times the chance. Each entry’s share is shown under the list and can also be shown on the wheel.
Can I pick several winners or eliminate winners?
Yes. In “Settings”, choose the number of winners per spin: the wheel spins several times without picking the same entry twice. Elimination mode automatically removes each winner from the wheel.
Are my lists sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Your entries, saved wheels and history stay on your device; only the share link, if you create one, contains the list.
