Frequently asked questions
How many centimetres are in an inch?
One inch is exactly 2.54 cm. The tool uses the official definitions: 1 foot = 30.48 cm, 1 yard = 0.9144 m and 1 mile = 1,609.344 m.

Yes. The list goes from the micrometre (µm) up to the kilometre and the mile, and any of the nine units can be converted to any other.
