About this tool

Drop the PDF in and the tool shows the protection used (AES-256, AES-128 or RC4). If the document opens without a password but blocks printing, copying or editing, those restrictions are removed in one click. If it asks for a password to open, type it to get an unlocked copy.

The tool does not guess passwords: it is meant for your own documents, or those whose author gave you access, such as a protected statement or invoice you want to archive or merge. Decryption happens in your browser, and neither the file nor the password is sent anywhere.
