About this tool
The photo effects studio transforms an image in a few clicks, right in your browser: distortions, textures, light and frames, in the spirit of the creative filters of graphics software. Use it for a poster, a social media visual, an invitation or just for fun.
Effects are grouped in four families you can combine: a distortion (twirl, sphere, pinch, waves, ripples, kaleidoscope, polar coordinates, mirror, page curl), a matter or light effect (fire, fur, glass, liquid gel, chrome, glow, motion and radial blur, lens flare, noise, crystallise), an art and style effect (CMYK halftone, 1-bit dithering, god rays, fractal glass, tilt-shift, colour splash, thermal camera, charcoal, coloured pencils, cartoon, chalkboard, chromatic aberration, duotone, pop art, bokeh, engraving, stencil, mosaic, snow, double vision, canvas, craquelure, dreamy glow, HDR, pixel art) and a frame (border, polaroid, rounded corners, drop shadow, torn edges, old photo, film strip, vignette). Each effect has two settings, and for centred effects you just click on the photo to place the centre.

How to use it
- Drop a photo in the box, click to choose it or paste it with Ctrl+V.
- Pick one effect in each tab: Distortions, Matter & light, Art & style, Frames.
- Adjust its two settings; for a centred effect, click the photo where you want it.
- Choose the format and size, then click Download.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. All effects are computed in your browser: your images are never sent or stored.
Can I combine several effects?
Yes: one effect per tab, applied in the order distortion, matter or light, art and style, then frame. For example a twirl, a CMYK halftone and a polaroid frame.
Why is the background transparent with some effects?
Page curl, rounded corners and drop shadow leave empty areas. In PNG they stay transparent; in JPG they become white.
Does the exported image keep the original quality?
Yes, it is exported at the original size (or the maximum width you choose) and the effect looks the same as in the preview.
